Manoj Bajpayee has often done experimental films since the beginning of his career. In an interview with Ranveer Allahabadia for his YouTube podcast, Manoj admitted that he has difficulty understanding Christopher Nolan and his concept of time. Manoj says he doesn’t understand the concept of time
When the Bhaiyya Ji actor was quizzed about his favourite Christopher movie and why, he said, “Yaar look, I don’t understand Nolan much, I will tell you the truth. I have some difficulty in understanding the concept of time. But I am trying to understand it by reading something about it. (Honestly speaking, I do not get Nolan and his films. I struggle to understand the concept of time. But I am trying to understand and learn by reading more about it. I don’t understand Oppenheimer either) .”
He added, “Then there was that one war film of his, on World War 2, Dunkirk. One thing that has always bothered me is the concept of war. LOC Kargil mujhe karte hu bhi troubling ho raha thi. Log marte hain, ek doosra ko log maar rahe hain. Bahut disturbing sacchaai hai (Then they made a war film called Dunkirk, based on World War 2. One thing that has always bothered me is the concept of war. When I acted in LOC Kargil, I found it really tough to do. People die and they kill each other. It’s a very disturbing reality).”
