According to the news agency, Thokchom Thoiba, Sidaba Mapu army chief, and Lt Col Laimayum Ingba, head of UNLF(P)’s INT department, have been arrested in the joint operation. PTI The news was given quoting officials on March 13.

Meanwhile, the northeastern state was hit by violence in May 2023 over a High Court order directing the state government to consider including the non-tribal Meitei community in the list of Scheduled Tribes.
