Malaika Arora’s back and hip flexor strengthening exercises
In her Monday motivation post, Malaika Arora performed five exercises which are “back extension with twist, back extension with leg lift, back leg lift + opposite arm lift, L-sit single leg raise on yoga block and seated L-sit single leg raise on yoga block”. The fitness enthusiast performed the exercises wearing ankle weights to increase the difficulty level while reaping the health benefits. According to Malaika’s post, she advised her followers to repeat each exercise 10 times.
Benefits of doing back and hip flexor strengthening workouts for young adults
Ignoring our hip flexors can lead to muscle imbalances, lower back pain, hip tightness, and poor pelvic alignment. Young adults who spend long hours sitting at a desk due to their lifestyle or work schedule can benefit from these workouts. By strengthening them, you can stabilize the core muscles, maintain good posture, reverse the negative effects of prolonged sitting, and improve athletic performance.
Meanwhile, back exercises increase flexibility and range of motion. Additionally, they strengthen and support the spine, reducing the likelihood of strains, sprains, and other injuries.
What was the reaction on the internet?
After Malaika posted the video, her fans flooded the comments section with praises. “Whenever I see Malaika, I realise one thing that age is just a number,” wrote a user. Another commented, “Queen. She never fails to inspire.” “Many people don’t understand how much discipline one has to show every day to keep their body healthy,” commented a user.
