Masaba Gupta, who wears several hats as a fashion designer, actor and entrepreneur, has a playful meaning of style yet. She often mixes her fashion options with makeup that is minimal, yet impressive. The 35 -year -old new personal role as a mother did not prevent her from innovating for her fashion or makeup brand. In fact, she says that motherhood has developed her idea of beauty.

Q. What is beauty for you, and how has this word developed for you?
Clouds of war: Beauty for me is a form of self-expression … the brave form of self-expression. And this has definitely developed for me because I have become a mother, especially for a baby girl. Now I feel that more than trying to fit into it, the same continuous and day-to-day is in a mode of self-acceptance, because your body is changing every day, how do you change in mirrors every day. It just comes from the place of accepting that you are performing your best with change, development and development, and are going to come with it. Beauty is now more about hugging – the reality of a situation – and the reality is that beauty is not really a single definition! This really means different things in different stages in one’s life. And I really believe that inner beauty is something that always shows outwards.
Q. How will you describe your personal approach to beauty- minimal, bold, or mood-driven?
Clouds of war: My personal approach to beauty has always been low, but it is also very mood. But I think I bend towards makeup which is classic and close to my natural skin as much as possible. This is just about what I have – characteristics, and not trying to look like anyone else.
Q. What does your everyday makeup routine look, especially when you are less on time?
Clouds of war: My everyday makeup routine is very simple. I will only wear a little cream blush and possibly a little color on my lips. If I feel that I want to matte, then I do a good matte lipstick or I do lip oil. If I do lip oil, it is usually in berry or guava tone. And if it is a matte lip color, it is mostly naked, pink or brown in colors.
Q. Is makeup more about self-realization or confidence or both?
Clouds of war: This is self-expression. It is also going to increase confidence. It is also a sexual system for most people. This is something that is transformative. This is something that is a mood to increase. Because I think when I wear makeup, I feel too in charge. And I know that, especially postpartum, if I put a little color on my cheeks and my lips, I feel bright, better than the day, better, better.
Q. For those five beauty products that you can’t do at all?
Clouds of war: Five beauty products that I cannot live completely is my cream blush, lip oil, mascara, possibly some serum tint – such as a tinted moisturizer that has skin -love benefits. And the last will be the bronzer!
Q. What is a skincare step before applying makeup that you never leave?
Clouds of war: Applying a ton of moisturizer or any hydrating serum. I think when you have a facial hydrated canvas, it always helps to organize makeup better.
Q. Which lipstick shed is your signature – you are going to reach again and again?
Clouds of war: In the context of lipstick, I will mostly wear a naked brown. This is my signature shadow. In my lovechild range, there is a shed called Touch Me Not 2.0. It is a beautiful naked, almost like a sand, a deep sand brown. And it is very close to my natural lip color. So I like it because it just gives a little pop. But it is also very natural on my skin.

Q. What is your Go-Two Lipstick Formula-Mat, Satin, or Shiny?
Clouds of war: My Go-Two Lipstick Formula is a mat.
Q. What is a lipstick color that works best for Indian skin tone, according to you – and why?
Clouds of war: I think the best working lipstick color for Indian skin is something that is brown but with a pink or a sign of the mauve. It works because Indians have skin which is slightly uneven and its staining, of course. It is also hot and humid here, so we have naturally increased the pores. When you have a good brown lipstick that is soft and when you have something that has a little matte or creamy matte -like shade, it helps the skin to look a little bit.
Q. Any moves you use to make your lips color for a long time?
Clouds of war: Always keep a ton of petroleum jelly or any lip balm that you like as a thick layer, when you are laying your foundation, so that it is well hydrated until you reach your lips. Never take lip balm completely. Just dub it with a tissue gently and once you apply for your lipstick, you should always take a slightly thin film of tissue and beat some setting powder or some loose powder on top of it. Just a little dub and it sets a long way because it actually helps to keep the lipstick for a long time.
Q. When you first used lipstick – how old were you? Did your mother react with a smile or anger?
Clouds of war: The first time I used lipstick was probably for an annual day in school. I was too young – in 6th or 7th grade. I remember it was a beautiful brick red lipstick. I was playing a gypsy girl and we had to wear this really dramatic makeup with winged eyeliner and bright lipstick. I felt it so good! My mother was very happy because she kept lipstick and makeup for me, and she loved the result.
Q. Do you have any DIY beauty hacked or traditional tips that are passed by your mother?
Clouds of war: Yes! Whenever I have a long shooting day, and I know that I am going to make up at me for 10-12 hours, I always take a muslin cloth and immerse it in ice water. I just squeeze all the water and just keep it on my face. This is quite good because when it is hot on a set and you have a full face of makeup, you also want to keep looking fresh and neither kick or crack makeup. This is good because it helps you feel better. It is also good and good. The holes remain good and closed, at least for that time.
