The XUV 7XO features a redesigned exterior with U-shaped LED daytime running lamps, projector headlamps and revised tail lamps.
Mahindra & Mahindra is testing the upcoming XUV 7XO on Indian roads just ahead of its official launch on January 5. XUV 7XO is basically an updated version of XUV700. This is not the first time that the brand has renamed an SUV; They renamed the XUV300 as XUV 3XO when the new version was launched. This time, the XUV 7XO was seen alongside the XUV700.
The video reveals the new design of the LED Daytime Running Lamp. They no longer extend down. Instead, they very quickly form a U-shape, somewhat like the Scorpio N’s daytime running lamps. The headlamps are now also equipped with projector headlamps, which should help in improving illumination even further.
There are also redesigned fog lamps which have been repositioned. There is also a new grille which seems to be inspired by the XUV500. The bumper will also be redesigned. On the sides, a new set of alloy wheels will be introduced, while the flush door handles and roof rails will remain the same. At the rear, the design of the tail lamps will be revised, mirroring the style seen on the newly launched XEV 9S.
What will be the changes in the interior of Mahindra XUV 7XO?
The earlier pictures confirm that the XUV 7XO will have a new interior design for the cabin. It will now be decorated in a beige and brown color palette, giving a more premium appearance. The door pads were covered in camouflage, but our guess is that they’ll get the same color treatment. Second-row occupants will also benefit from a center armrest equipped with cupholders. A new two-spoke steering wheel sourced from Born Electric Mahindra Electric Vehicles has been confirmed for the XUV 7XO. However, it is slightly different in button placement as it uses actual physical buttons instead of tactical buttons, which share the same pad. This is beneficial, as the steering wheel buttons were a minor concern for me during my experience with the XEV 9e and BE 6.

In comparison, the current XUV700 is equipped with a dual-screen configuration. The XUV 7XO will include a display for the passenger, an infotainment system and a digital screen for the driver. Boss Mode will enable the rear passenger to increase legroom by adjusting the front passenger’s seat directly across from the second row.
