The time limit for class 12 examination form in Maharashtra Board is amid flood on 20 October
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has extended the deadline for submission of class 12 examination forms to the state after heavy rains and floods till 20 October. The basic time limit to submit the form was 30 September.
However, due to severe rains and floods in the Marathwada region, as well as in the districts of Nashik, Solapur, and Ahilyanagar, the parents of several students approached Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and requested to expand the deadline.
Talking to reporters, Shinde said, “I was getting calls from many students and farmer parents in flood affected areas. They were saying that due to the flood situation, it is not possible for the 12th standard students to fill the exam form. Tomorrow is the last date to fill the 12th standard examination form.”
Shinde took immediate action and spoke to Education Minister Dada Bhusa, which led to the expansion of the deadline for examination form submission on 20 October.
“I understood the situation and spoke to the Education Minister Dada Bhus on the phone and in view of the difficulties of parents and students, the 12th standard students’ exam date was postponed on 20 October. Due to this, many students will get relief,” Shinde said.

It has been decided to provide relief to thousands of students, which were difficult to complete the basic time limit due to floods. The expansion will allow students to focus on their studies without stress in addition to presenting the form on time and will ensure that they may appear for the examination without any problem.
The recent floods in Maharashtra have created major disruption, affecting the students’ ability to study and exams for the examination. Many students lost their study materials, books and notes, which has made the situation even more difficult for them.
