Maharashtra Congress in-charge Ramesh Chennithala on Wednesday hit out at the Mahayuti alliance, claiming that unlike him, the Congress has “treated all parties equally” in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

“Nominations have been filed by Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) candidates on all 288 seats. When you compare MVA with Mahayuti, there is no tussle within our group. Mahayuti has now ended. We have All parties have been given equal treatment, he said during a press conference, “Mahayuti, BJP has stolen all the seats of NCP and Shiv Sena.”
The “feud” refers to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s opposition to the nomination of Nawab Malik as the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) candidate from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar.
Earlier, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya described Malik as a terrorist and said, “Nawab Malik is a terrorist who tried to break India into pieces.” He is Dawood’s agent and Ajit Pawar’s NCP has betrayed the country by giving ticket to Nawab Malik. On behalf of Mahayuti, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Eknath Shinde’s candidate Suresh Krishna Patil (Bullet Patil) started campaigning yesterday.
Chennithala further claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wanted to “kill” its alliance partners, with the Congress giving A and B forms to already declared candidates.
“It is a clear message that the BJP wanted to eliminate its alliance partners…We have given ‘A’ and ‘B’ forms only to those candidates whose names have been announced by the party. He criticized the state government’s implementation of the Ladli Behan scheme, saying that the government had no funds for the scheme, which was why it was stopped by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
“They do not have any funds for Laadli Behan Scheme in the treasury of Maharashtra Government, that is why through ECI they closed the schemes. Women of Maharashtra will not get any money from the Government. All this said before the elections. It was a lie.” Chennithala said.
Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on November 20, with counting of votes for all 288 constituencies taking place on November 23.
