KTM India has recently expanded its Duke lineup on our shores with the launch of the new KTM 160 Duke, which is priced 1.85 lakhs (East-Shoreroom). Posted as an entry point for the Duke family, the new bike sits under the KTM 200 Duke and is a square target in rivals such as Yamaha MT-15 V2. Delivery for the new motorcycle launched on August 12 has been confirmed with KTM that a completely Fair RC 160 based on the same platform will follow in the coming weeks.
The KTM 160 Duke is introduced in 3 separate color options. The most striking of these is Electronic Orange, KTM’s Signature Orange Shade, which comes with bold graphics. The Atlantic Blue offers a modern, sporty option with a fresh visual appeal, while the silver metallic mat gives a more sensible look with its muted matte finish. Together, these color options give interested buyers a loud, a choice between sporty beauty and subtler who bends towards refinement.
The Duke continues the 160 brand aggressive streetfighter style which is prevalent in his elder brother -in -law. It features a compact tail section with a sharp tank shroud, a muscle fuel tank and a LED taillight with a signed LED headlamp. The motorcycle ride on light alloy wheels ended to match the chosen paint scheme.

KTM 160 Duke: Paurtrane and Features
The KTM 160 Duke is powered by a 160 cc liquid-cooled engine, taken from the platform of KTM 200 Duke. This unit develops 18.74 bhp and torque of 15.5 Nm, making Duke 160 the most powerful offer in its segment. It has been paired with the aged handling characteristics and a chassis setup that will be shared with the upcoming RC 160.
The motorcycle WP is equipped with a trip to 138 mm from the USD Front Forks and is a WP monoshock in the rear with a 161 mm trip. The braking performance comes from the 320mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc.
On the feature front, the motorcycle is equipped with a 5.0-inch LCD instrument console that supports smartphone connectivity. Riders have access to turn-by-turn navigation, calls and messages alerts and music playbacks, increasing their appeal among urban travelers.

KTM 160 Duke: Rival
In the Indian market, KTM 160 will compete with Duke Yamaha MT -15 V2 and serve as an entry point in KTM’s Naked Streetfighter range. With its premium features, performance-centered engine and sporty paint options, KTM aims to occupy a strong stake in the highly competitive 160 cc streetbike segment.
