Two days after a college student in Kolkata, he was allegedly raped by two of his seniors and an alumnus of the educational institution, who opposed the Tritmool Congress and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party Business Barbes on Friday.
To fail to protect women in the state in the state government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee along with the Bharatiya Janata Party, TMC alleged that the accused in BJP ruled states are shielded and sheltered.
TMC also mentioned that despite the Aparajita bill by the West Bengal government, the bill was ignored by the BJP -led central government.
Opposition leader Suavendu Adhikari took for X and wrote, “The empire of crime was not established in that way; it has increased and swollen in the company of various miscreants !!!”
For this, TMC wrote on X, “While @BJP4India leaves no stone unturned to mold rapists, AITC constantly stands firmly – condemning such heinous crimes, taking fast action, and demanding strict punishment.
Appreciating all, the Aparajita Bill was introduced as an important step to ensure a strong legal framework for women. But today, Bill ignored, collected dust with the BJP -led central government.
BJP does not punish rapists, they protect them. No wonder that @drsukantabjp Aparajita Bill, does not see any value in 2024 because it is never a priority for women to create a safe environment. ,

Kolkata rape:
Earlier, a law student of a law was allegedly raped inside the South Calcutta Law College in Kolkata, West Bengal between 7.30 am and 8.50 pm on 25 June.
The Kolkata Police has arrested three accused named Manjun Mishra, Zab Ahmed and Pratik Mukhopadhyay.
According to the victim, the incident occurred on the evening of 25 June when the woman went to college. Police said he was taken to a room inside the educational institution by the three accused and was gang -raped.
