Delhi The government has published a circular with instructions to complete the admission process for entry level classes in unaided private schools in the region for the academic session 2026-27 for open seats.
In the circular, the government has specified dates for the admission processes, issued important instructions schoolsPrescribed the age limit for attendance, and also gave a list of documents required as proof of address.

1. Uploading the criteria and their points in the department’s module on the link mentioned in point number 7 – 28 November.
2. Start of admission process and availability of forms: 4th December
3. Last date for submission of application form in schools: December 27, 2025
4. Uploading of details of children applying to the school for admission under Open Seat: January 9, 2026
5. Uploading of marks (as per marks system) awarded to each child applying for admission under open seats: January 16, 2026
6. Date of display of the first list of selected children (including waiting list) (with marks allotted under the marking system): January 23, 2026
7. Resolution of queries of parents, if any, regarding allotment of marks to their children for the first list (by written/email/verbal conversation): January 24, 2026.
8. Date of display of second list (if any) of selected children (including waiting list) (with marks allotted under the marking system): 9 February, 2026
9. Resolution of queries of parents, if any, regarding allotment of marks to their children in the second list (by written/email/verbal conversation): February 10 to February 16, 2026.
10. Next list of admission, if any: March 5, 2026
11. Closing date of admission process: March 19, 2026.
Age limit for admission
Nursery (Kindergarten 1/ Pre School 1) – 3+ years to 4 years
KG: 4+ years to 5 years
Class 1: 5+ years to 6 years
Which documents will serve as valid proof of address?
1. Ration card/smart card issued in the name of parents
2. Domicile certificate, of the child or either of the parents
3. Voter ID Card (EPIC) of either parent
4. Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/water bill/passport bearing name of parent or child.
5. Aadhar Card/UID Card issued in the name of one of the parents.
