Kangana Ranaut claimed that she has received equal love and respect in the film industry after veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. The actor turned politician is currently the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh. In an election rally, Kangana was seen giving a speech when she made this statement. The video also surfaced on social media. In it, she was seen saying, “The whole country is shocked that Kangana, whether I go to Rajasthan, whether I go to West Bengal, whether I go to Delhi, whether I go to Manipur, it seems that I love her so much. That’s it… I can say that after Amitabh Bachchan ji I meet someone in the industry. Kangana and Amitabh have not shared screen space in any film yet, but both the actors received the National Award in 2016. Kangana won the Best Actress award for Tanu Weds Manu Returns, while Amitabh won the Best Actor award for Piku. After starring in Queen and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Amitabh had sent bouquets and appreciation letters to Kangana.
Kangana will next be seen in Emergency, in which she will play the role of Indira Gandhi. It is written by Ritesh Shah, who also wrote Kangana’s film Dhaakad, which failed at the box office. Apart from Kangana, actors Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhary, Satish Kaushik and Shreyas Talpade will also be seen in important roles in the film.
