Kangana targeted Sonu
The actor-turned-MP took to Twitter and took a dig at Sonu, who is known for his humanitarian work. She wrote, “Next you know Sonu ji will be directing his own Ramayan based on his personal conclusions about god and religion. Wow kya baat hai another Ramayan from Bollywood.”
Kangana shared her thoughts by reposting another post which read, “Shocking news… Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has justified spitting in people’s food. He equated a miscreant spitting in food to Lord Rama eating Shabri’s berries. He said ‘If Lord Rama can eat Shabri’s berries, why can’t he eat spitted rotis?’ He defended the act of spitting calling it an act of ‘humanity’. He said ‘Humanity must prevail.'”
More information about this issue
Earlier this week, the stir began when a user on X shared a video of a boy making rotis for his customers. It showed him spitting on the dough. The video came as Sonu’s reaction to the Uttar Pradesh and Haridwar authorities ordering eateries located on the Kanwar Yatra route to display the names of their owners.
Reacting to Sonu’s tweet, the user wrote, “The spit-covered roti should be parceled to Sonu Sood, so that the brotherhood remains intact!”
Reacting to this, Sonu wrote, “Our Shri Ram ji ate the sour berries of Shabri, so why can’t I? Violence can be defeated by non-violence my brother. Humanity must remain intact. Jai Shri Ram”.
Sonu faced severe criticism
Social media users did not like this at all. One user wrote, “Don’t defend so much, you are trying to prove the wrong as right. Don’t stoop so low to defend something that you start looking wrong.”
One comment read, “Sonu, nonsense has its place and truth has its own place, this person making rotis is neither Mata Shabari nor are you Ram. Mata Shabari is the symbol of love, this person is spitting in hatred.”
Another comment said, “Mata Shabari was a devotee of Lord Rama and did not defile the berries out of malice. She was just innocently tasting the berries and offering them to Lord Rama to check if they were sweet or not. The person shown in the video neither loves his customers nor spits on the roti to check if it is cooked properly. The reason behind his act is hatred towards other religions. And you are comparing the act of such a person with that of Mata Shabari? You are a very stupid person.”
what will happen next
Talking about work, Sonu will soon be seen in the cyber crime thriller Fateh alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Naseeruddin Shah. The film will be directed by Abhinandan Gupta and produced by Zee Studios and Shakti Sagar Productions. The film will be released in theaters soon this year.
Kangana has recently announced the new release date of her film Emergency. She will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in this film, which is releasing on September 7 this year. Emergency, produced by Zee Studios, is produced by Renu Pitti and Kangana. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Ritesh Shah and the music is given by Sanchit Balhara.
