India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has announced on Monday that it will increase the prices of its vehicles by 4% from April 2025. The company has explained the main reason behind this decision to increase input cost and operational expenditure.
The company said in a statement that the price hike will vary on the basis of model. Although the automaker is working to keep the cost favorable and limit the impact on customers, he said that the market will have to pay some part of the increased expenses. Maruti Suzuki has taken this decision to increase the prices of the car at a time when the auto industry is struggling with inflation pressure, high cost of raw materials and increased logistics expenses.

Second time increase within 2 months
Maruti Suzuki India has announced a price hike from April 2025 to 4%, citing raw goods and operations increase. It is implemented in January 2025 after a similar 4% increase, which was announced in December last year. Additionally, the company again raised prices in February, with select models from Rs 1,500 to Rs 32,500.
