Gege Akutami apologizes to JJK fans
This week fans were disappointed again when the release of a new chapter of their favourite manga was announced. Chapter 262 was supposed to be released this week but it couldn’t be released as the creators took their regular week-long break while writing the manga. However, now the manga has taken a two-week hiatus and Gege Akutami has apologised to Jujutsu Kaisen fans for this sudden decision.
The series is going to be on hiatus for two weeks due to the declining health of the manga’s creator Gege Akutami. This news disappointed fans waiting for the next chapter for obvious reasons. After the news of the two-week hiatus, Akutami, unable to release the next chapter for his viewers, apologized through a comment on social media.
According to Dexerto, a popular JJK fan page translated his comment, which read, “I’ve been sick and I’m having strange symptoms. I apologize for the trouble I’m causing.” Akutami’s sudden illness shocked his fans.

Netizens show support and concern for Akutami
Upon the sudden news of Akutami’s illness, people on social media expressed their support for the manga author. Manga fans wrote kind words for the author and wished him a speedy recovery.

Hopefully it’s not too serious.” Another user wrote, “Get well Gege.” Another X user wrote, “Hopefully he can relax and know he’s okay, get well soon.
