Now, what happens if any question asked in JE Main is found wrong/wrong?
According to this process, the NTA released provisional answer key to those with questions and candidates’ reactions. After that, it allowed them to increase objections on the provisional answer key.
Once the objection window is closed, a panel of subject experts reviews those objections. If any objection is found to be valid, the final answer key is modified accordingly.
Wrong answers will be removed from the final answer key.
JEE Main 2025: Marking Scheme
For MCQ in JEE Main, candidates get four points for the right or most appropriate answer, while a mark is cut for each wrong answer. No marks are given for efforts.
If the agency finds out that more than one option is correct for a question, it gives full marks to those who have marked one of the right choices.
If all options are correct, then people who try that question get full marks.
The NTA mentioned that although adequate care would be taken to ensure the purity of the questions, if a question needs to be left, all the candidates will be given full marks.
Similarly, there is marking plan for numerical value questions-
Correct Answer: Four digits (+4)
Wrong Answer: Minus One Mark (-1)
Marks for unanswered/review: no mark (0).
If a question is found wrong or the question is dropped: all candidates have four marks (+4).
The result of the second session of JEE Main is expected today, April 17. Candidates can visit the official website of the agency for more information.
