National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 Session 2 Paper 1 (B.Tech and BE) evaluation. A total of 15 students have scored 100 per cent marks, followed by seven candidates each from Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, six candidates from Delhi and five candidates from Rajasthan. Saanvi Jain from Karnataka and Shayna Sinha from Delhi are the two women candidates who have scored 100 per cent marks in the engineering entrance exam. Last year, 43 candidates had scored full marks.
A total of 1179569 had registered for JEE Main 2024 April session, out of which 806045 were male, 373515 female and 9 were third gender candidates. 1067959 appeared in the second session of the examination, which included 738351 males, 329600 females and 8 transgenders. Meanwhile, according to NTA, 924636 candidates registered for both January and April this year, out of which 822899 appeared. 1170048 candidates appeared for the January session exam and 1415110 unique candidates appeared for both the sessions.
The exam was conducted from April 4 to April 12 in 319 cities across India and 22 additional cities internationally. More than 12.57 lakh students participated in the examination. NTA conducted two exam sessions; One was conducted in January and the other in April 2024, which collectively received over 24 lakh candidate registrations. Currently, candidates can review the final answer keys, allowing them to assess their performance with accuracy and precision.
JEE Main 2024 Result: Marking Scheme
In JEE Main exam, candidates get four marks for each correct answer. However, for each wrong response, one mark is deducted as negative marking. Notably, no penalty is imposed for unanswered questions. Moreover, if any question is found wrong after the examination, all candidates will receive four marks for those questions, irrespective of their original answers.

Step 3: You will be directed to a new page where you will have to enter your required credentials.
Step 4: After entering the details, click on “Submit” button.
Step 5: A new page will appear, displaying your results.
Step 6: Check carefully and then download it. Take a printout for your records.
JEE Main 2024 Result: What is Raw Score, Percentage and Rank?
raw score: The total number of marks obtained in the examination, taking into account correct answers, wrong answers and questions left unattempted.
Percentile: It shows the percentage of candidates who have scored less than you in the exam. To calculate the percentage score, divide the number of students who have scored equal to or less than the student by the total number of students who appeared in that session of the examination. Then, multiply the result by 100.
Post: It reflects your position in comparison to other candidates. Ranks are determined based on percentage score, with the highest scorer getting rank 1. In case of similarity in percentile scores, NTA uses a method considering the marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to resolve them.
