It was recently announced that veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada will be working with director Hanu Raghavapudi in Telugu actor Prabhas’ upcoming film. Amid the buzz around the film, Jaya took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her vacation in New York with son Samrat. Jaya Prada shared pictures from New York
The actress, who rarely shares pictures with her son, left fans delighted as the two were spotted together in candid pictures. She wrote in the caption, “Fun time in New York City with my son Samrat.”
Jaya wore a beige top while Samrat wore a black top as they posed for the selfie. In another photo, they were seen smiling at each other while the iconic Brooklyn Bridge was behind them.

A fan commented on Jaya’s post, “(red heart emoji) Beautiful as always Jaya ji.” Another said, “So beautiful.” A comment also read, “After a long time we are seeing you with your son.”
Someone also said, “Amazing. Great click. Have a great time and have lots of fun. Stay safe Jaya ji.” Another fan wrote, “So cute.”
In 1986, Jaya married producer Shrikant Nahata, who was already married and was the father of three children. He had not divorced his first wife before marrying Jaya. She and the actor separated after a few years.
Upcoming work
Jaya is now gearing up for her upcoming Telugu project with Prabhas. The untitled film will go on the floors in August 2024 in Hyderabad. Production banner Mythri Movie Makers said in a post on Instagram that it is a ‘historical fiction set in the 1940s’.
He wrote along with the announcement poster, “When wars were a battle for supremacy, one warrior defined what they were fought for… Prabhas-Hanu, a historical fiction set in the 1940s. Shooting begins soon.”

After acting in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi films, Jaya starred in the highly successful Adavi Ramudu in 1977 opposite superstar NT Rama Rao.
Her first Bollywood film was 1979’s Sargam, a remake of her 1976 film Siri Siri Muvva. Some of her other Hindi films were Sharabi (1984) with Amitabh Bachchan and K. Viswanath’s Sanjog (1985). Her hit pairing with Amitabh and Jeetendra followed in films such as Ganga Jamuna Saraswati (1988) and Aulad (1987).
