James Gun confirms Superman’s runtime
In a direct response to fan inquiry on social media platforms threads, James confirmed that the film’s runtime, including credit and post-credit scenes, would be 2 hours and 9 minutes. After the announcement, a user asked whether the 2-hour, 9-minute duration was accurate.
James clarified, “Credit/Post Credit Including, Runtime is 2 hours 9 minutes.”
The director also took an opportunity to address a circulating rumor, which was forced by Warner Bros. to shorten the film’s runtime. James clearly denied the claim and said, “Zero truth.” He further emphasized that as a DC Studio film, the studio had no such effect on the project.
Gunn said, “And they can’t do it, if it’s something they wanted. It’s a DC studio film,” Gunn commented, as is done by the deadline.
This restores any speculation that Warner Brothers played a role in trimming the film.
