An amazing before-and-after view
On Monday, Jaideep shared a series of pictures from his shooting days as Maharaj. He showed how he lost around 26 kg for the role in just five months. “From 109.7 kg to 83 kg in 5 months. This is the physical transformation for the role of Maharaj. Thank you Prajwal sir @prajwal7542 for believing in me,” Jaideep wrote in his post. The post includes before and after pictures of Jaideep. In the picture taken five months ago, his belly looked big, but in the recent pictures, his upper body and arms look toned.
His trainer Prajwal also shared a video of Jaideep working out in the gym in Maharaj’s attire.
how did he do it?
In an interview given to ANI, Jaideep told about all the preparations he did for this role. He told that before preparing for this role, he had to make himself fit again because his weight was around 104 kg.
“For about 5.5 months of intense physical training to become JJ as seen on screen, my trainer worked really hard on me. We used to work out 3-4 times a day,” he said, emphasizing on the significant transformation he went through for the role.
Jaideep also spoke on the massive team effort and said, “The credit goes to everyone. I am just a tool to channel all the energy created by these people.”
Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by YRF Entertainment, Maharaj stars Junaid Khan in his debut role, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey, with Sharvari in a special role. The film is based on true events from pre-independence India and highlights the courage of Karsandas Mulji, a social reformer who challenged the status quo in a landmark legal battle.
