Janhvi Kapoor is doing well in Bollywood and with her debut Telugu film, Devara, opposite Jr NTR going on fast, things are only looking good for her. The latest news is that she has been signed for Tamil star Suriya’s Hindi film with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. What did Boney Kapoor say?
Boney said, “My daughter has already shot a film with Jr NTR. She loves every day she spends here on the set. Soon she will also start a film with Ram Charan. Both these boys are doing very well. She has been watching a lot of Telugu films and feels blessed to work with them. Hopefully the films will work and he will get more work. She will also soon act with Suriya. My wife (Sridevi) acted in many languages, I hope my daughter will do the same.
Which movie is it?
Surya had moved to Mumbai a few years ago and his wife, actress Jyotika, had also started her second innings in Hindi cinema. He was in talks with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for Karna, based on the Mahabharata, and late last year it was confirmed that he would play the lead role. Now, it looks like Janhvi has also signed on as the leading lady. It is being told that this film has been made on a grand scale and will be released in two parts.
Suriya is currently busy with his next project with his magnum opus Kanguva and Sudha Kongara. Karna is likely to go on floors by the end of 2024.
Janhvi will next be seen in Devara with Jr NTR. Saif Ali Khan has played the role of villain in the film. It will release in October this year after the recently announced eight-month delay.
