Silbatta started appearing in houses
Even in today’s electronic era, this trend can be seen in many houses in rural areas as well as urban areas. This old-fashioned machine, which runs without electricity, is superior to even today’s new-age mixers. Only due to saving time and effort its trend has reduced a little. The name of this old time mixer made entirely of stone is Silbatta. Which is also called Sillodha.

This mixer is prepared by hand in one and a half hour
Narendra Prajapati, a family artisan who makes this old-fashioned mixer by hand, says that it takes at least one and a half hour to prepare one Silbatta properly. To prepare it, first of all good quality stone is taken. After that, it is prepared by hitting the stitch on the stone with a hammer.

Blue and white stones are best for this
Narendra Prajapati explains that it can be prepared not from every stone but only from a special stone. We use only blue and white stones to make Silbatta. These two stones are the best for Josilbatta. The remaining stones remain raw and weak for Silbatta.

Designs are carved in it for beauty
Ravindra Kumar, another artisan of Silbatta, told that there are many steps in preparing Silbatta. In this, first the stone is given a final shape. After shaping, the upper end of the stone is wiped with coal water. Ravindra says that design is also given in it for beauty. Molds are carved in it in the form of designs. With this design of Silbatta, spices are ground on stone. He says that electronic mixer has come into use today. But Silbatta has been in use since ancient times.

Its price depends on its size
The price of this old time mixer is also taken according to the size. Narendra Prajapati tells that its price ranges from ₹ 100, 150, 250, 300, 400 and ₹ 500 depending on the size.
