Indian School of Business (ISB) has outperformed its peers to become the top-ranked Indian business school and 31st globally in the Financial Times (FT) Global MBA Rankings 2024.
ISB is the global leader in salary percentage growth, with postgraduate candidates seeing a significant increase of 229% in compensation before and after the programme.
The University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), INSEAD and Columbia Business School have been named as the top three business schools globally.
Ramabhadran Thirumalai, deputy dean of academic programs, said strong alumni connect, wide net of recruiters and hiring of diverse faculty are among the factors that have led to the rise in ISB’s ranking. peppermint,
“If you check the last five years, up to 2016 or 17, we have consistently brought in at least half a dozen or more new faculty members every year. For example, in 2018 or 19, we hired about 18 new faculty members in various management and business disciplines,” the deputy dean said. He said it is becoming easier to get global faculty.
“The prospects for attracting talent in India are improving. Compared to places like Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe and even the United States, the improvement in the quality of life in India is becoming more remarkable, the deputy dean said.
Amid widespread slowdown, ISB has brought in a new set of companies for recruitment to fill the gap left by traditional recruiters.
ISB’s excellent global position in alumni network and career services, ranking 8th and 19th respectively, demonstrates its commitment to student success and alumni engagement, the school said.
“To compensate for any limitations, our career advancement team has proactively brought on new companies to fill the gaps left by regular recruiters. This strategy is aimed at addressing the shortfall in hiring by some companies,” Thirumalai said.
