New Delhi. Indian Railways is preparing for the launch of IRCTC Super App. From its name ‘Super’ you must have guessed that there will definitely be something special in it. If you are thinking like this then you are absolutely right. Actually, this ‘super’ app will not only provide the facility to railway passengers to book tickets, but will also provide many other services. This app has been designed in such a way that you will get the solution to all your travel related needs at one place. This is a digital platform which has been designed to keep many railway services at one place. IRCTC can launch it in December this year. This super app has been jointly created by both Center for Railway Information System (CRIS) and IRCTC.
Passengers can now book reserved and unreserved tickets from a single app. Apart from this, you will also be able to avail facilities like buying platform pass, tracking trains in real time, booking food items and giving feedback. The app may also have a business-to-business (B2B) segment, allowing logistics companies to book freight services.

The new application aims to simplify the digital travel experience for millions of rail passengers by eliminating the need to switch between multiple apps like IRCTC Rail Connect, UTS and Rail Madad. IRCTC will continue to manage ticket booking, ensuring a familiar and reliable booking process for users.

Although it was announced in September, the exact launch date has not been released yet. This all-in-one platform will have a newly designed user interface, faster payment options, live train tracking and will even allow users to order food. The app will also provide personalized travel suggestions and enhanced safety features. The purpose of this platform is to save passengers’ time and make their train journey more pleasant.
