According to news agency Reuters, Apple has said in the email sent to the users that this spyware attack can prove to be a threat to iPhone users and the iPhone can be compromised remotely.
At the same time, a report in Indian Express states that Apple has sent this threat notification email in India at 12:30 am on April 11. The subject of the email is “Alert, Apple has detected a piece of mercenary spyware targeting your iPhone.” It is written in the email, “Your iPhone can be hacked due to this attack. This attack can be especially targeted at you and the reason for this can be both your name and your work. “While it’s not possible to say anything with absolute certainty when detecting such attacks, Apple cautions in full confidence, please take this seriously.”

The attack is very dangerous
Apple said in the threat mail that mercenary spyware attacks, such as the one using NSO Group’s Pegasus, are generally very rare and very sophisticated. These types of attacks cost millions of dollars and are used against very few people. Apple has advised users to be careful. Along with this, it has also been asked to be alert about all the links received. It is also advised not to open any link or attachment received from unknown people.
