Team Mongolia’s 2024 Paris Olympics uniform
The video unveiling Michelle and Amazonka’s uniform for Team Mongolia featured models wearing clothing with traditional Mongolian motifs. One of the female models wore the Team Mongolia female flag bearer’s uniform which consists of a robe dress (known as deils, which Mongolians still wear) and paired it with an embroidered vest, a handbag similar to the potli bags from India, heels and earrings. The other female model wore a similar embroidered vest, a pleated skirt, blouse, handbag and earrings. This is the uniform of female athletes.
Meanwhile, the male flag bearer’s uniform consists of a thin cotton Mongolian dress adorned with embroidery, which is considered auspicious in Mongolia. An embroidered vest, traditional Mongolian shoes and an ornate belt completed the look. Meanwhile, the male athlete’s uniform consists of pants, a Mandarin collar shirt, an embroidered vest and sneakers.

Several fashion influencer pages shared videos discussing Team Mongolia’s Olympic uniforms. Fashion commentator Ryan Yip took to Instagram to discuss the couture look and said, “Tell me why we read about fashion every day, but I’ve never seen anything like this until now.” He said the uniforms for the Mongolian team were not runway pieces but couture uniforms.
One user commented, “Who told the whole Mongolian Olympic team to jump so loudly.” Another commented, “They won the Olympics before they even started.” One commented, “Best uniform ever.” A netizen wrote, “This is a new take on our traditional dress which I think represents Mongolians the best.” A user said, “I literally jumped out loud when you said this is their Olympic uniform,” and we agree.
About 2024 Paris Olympics
The 2024 Summer Olympics is the 33rd edition of the quadrennial event. It will be held in Paris, France from July 26 to August 11. More than 200 countries are expected to send their athletes to compete in a total of 329 events in 32 sports.
