Congress general secretary in -charge organization KC Venugopal also quoted Indira Gandhi in a post on X.
He said, “As a developing country, we have our backbones directly, adequate desire and resources to fight all atrocities. Many times have passed when any nation sitting 3-4 thousand miles away can order Indians,” he said to Nixon with his comment. “India badly remembers Indira Gandhiji.”
Pawan Kirra, head of the Congress’s media and publicity department, in the meantime, shared the X photos of Indira Gandhi with personnel of the armed forces during various points in time and said, “India remembers Indira.”
Congress leader Jeram Ramesh praised the former Prime Minister on Sunday after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved the disbursement of $ 1 billion funds to Pakistan.
Recalling an incident since 1981, Ramesh mentioned that the IMF had approved a $ 5.8 billion loan for India despite the US disagreement, which had avoided the executive board meeting.
However, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was then able to persuade the loan from the IMF, which was able to deal with the tripling of oil prices, Ramesh further mentioned in his ‘X’ post.
India-Pakistan conflict
India and Pakistan decided to stop land and air firing and military action from 5 pm on Saturday, an agreement that Pakistan later violated that night.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri called upon Pakistan to address these violations and take appropriate steps to deal with the situation with “severity and responsibility”.
