Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh on Wednesday, February 7, said the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is working in a phased manner to establish India’s first space station, to be called the Indian Space Station (BAS), by 2035. Is.
In a written reply to a question asked by MP Karti P. Chidambaram, Jitendra Singh said, “With a view to setting up the space station by 2035, ISRO is working on the overall configuration of the Indian Space Station (BAS). The plan is to assemble the station in a phased manner. Towards this end, a possible roadmap for the realization of various modules and their respective launches is being developed.”

What is Bharatiya Antariksh Station?
ISRO is working on setting up India’s own space station, the Indian Space Station. The station will be assembled in a phased manner and ISRO aims to install it by 2035.

The Indian Space Station is currently in the ‘concept phase’, under which the overall architecture, number and type of modules required for the station have been studied and identified.
Has the government allocated any funds for BAS?
Allocation of funds for the Indian space station will be considered after the feasibility study is completed. Later, after necessary study and observation, the proposal will be placed before the government for approval.

For the establishment of the space station, a possible roadmap is being made for the realization of various modules and their launch. India’s next Moon exploration mission was also mentioned in the Minister’s Lok Sabha reply, where he said that the concept of ISRO’s upcoming Moon exploration mission is underway.
Currently, the space agency is conducting feasibility studies for lunar sample collection and return as well as further robotic exploration of the Moon via orbiters, landers and rovers, followed by human landing on the Moon.
