New Delhi. India on Friday said it is in touch with Moscow for early ‘release’ of Indians working as support personnel in the Russian Army. The Ministry of External Affairs has urged Indians to stay away from the conflict zone in Ukraine.
This statement of External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal comes after a news which said that some Indians are working as support personnel of the Russian Army in the conflict zone.
Jaiswal said, ‘We know that some Indian citizens are working as support personnel in the Russian Army.’

He said that the Indian Embassy in Moscow has been regularly taking up the matter of his relief with the concerned Russian authorities. He said, ‘We urge all Indian citizens to take appropriate precautions and stay away from this conflict.’
