Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given important information regarding recruitment in Railways.
Getting a government job in India is a tough task. The youth have to face a lot of struggle. Thousands and lakhs of candidates apply for the vacancy of a few hundred seats. The youth have to prepare for a long time to pass the exam. Recently, the Indian Railways said that they will release the recruitment calendar for various posts. It is being shared that the Railways has prepared the recruitment calendar and it will be made public soon. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given great information regarding recruitment in railways. When asked about recruitment in railways, Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in an interview that the government has prepared a recruitment calendar to fill the vacant posts in the railways.
“Four quarters have been linked to a particular category of employment. The first quarter from January to March has been earmarked for recruitment of loco pilots, the second quarter for recruitment of technicians and junior engineers, the third quarter for recruitment of non-technical staff and the fourth quarter for level-1 officers,” he said.
This means that vacancies for various posts will be released every quarter. Candidates can start their preparation as per the calendar.
Facing criticism over rail accidents, Ashwini Vaishnav on Wednesday said the national transport service is the lifeline of the country and there should be no political allegations and counter-allegations about it.
Vaishnav also said that disturbing facts have come to light in some incidents, but the Railways is conducting a detailed investigation into each incident.
He also said, “Railways and defence are sectors that should not be politicised. I believe that railways should not be made a subject of political allegations and counter-allegations.”
Ashwini Vaishnaw also said that railways is the lifeline of the country and if anything negative happens, every effort should be made to ensure that train services operate efficiently.
He further said that the Railways has added 5,300 km of railway lines to the existing network last year. Ashwini Vaishnav said, “10 years ago the average speed of construction in the Railways was four kilometers per day. Today it is 14.5 kilometers per day.”
He also said that all the approved railway projects will be completed in the next five years.
