Indian Army has released the official notification for the 35th Judge Advocate General (JAG) Entry Scheme starting in October 2025. This admission welcomes unmarried male and female law graduates to apply for the posts of Short Service Commission (SSC) officers. JAG branch of the Indian Army. eligibility criteria:
To apply for the 35th JAG Entry Scheme, candidates must be between 21 to 27 years of age and born between 2 July 1998 to 1 July 2004.
Must have passed LLB (3 years or 5 years) with at least 55 percent aggregate marks.
Must have valid CLAT PG 2024 score.
Selection Process:
The selection process for JAG 35th Entry Scheme consists of several stages:
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in CLAT PG 2024 exam.
SSB Interview: Selected candidates will be called for a 5-day Service Selection Board (SSB) interview, which will assess their physical and mental aptitude.
Medical Examination Round: Those who clear the interview round will have to undergo a medical examination to assess their fitness.
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of applicant’s performance in all stages and overall eligibility criteria.
After final selection, all shortlisted candidates will undergo a rigorous 49-week training program at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. The training program is designed to prepare candidates for their positions as officers of the Judge Advocate General (JAG) branch of the Indian Army.
On successful completion of the 35th Course JAG Entry Scheme, candidates will be appointed as Lieutenant in the Indian Army with a basic pay of Rs 56,100 per month. Along with this, the candidate will also get many types of allowances including military service pay of Rs 15,500. The pay scale for the post of Lieutenant is approximately Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500.
