New Delhi. Major domestic companies in the automobile manufacturing sector, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors have received a record number of patent approvals related to product and process innovation in the last financial year, i.e. 2023-24. While Mahindra & Mahindra got 674 approvals, Tata Motors was also given 333 patent approvals during the financial year 2023-24.
On behalf of Mahindra & Mahindra, it was said that the company has received a record 674 patents in the last financial year. Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (Automotive and Agriculture Sector), M&M, said, “We understand the importance of being future ready, hence we have ensured extensive investment in Research and Development to stay ahead in technology and skills. Have done. M&M has so far obtained 1,185 patents in different vehicle segments.
Let us tell you that Mahindra & Mahindra has 193 patents awaiting approval till March 31, 2024. Overall the company has made 2,212 patent applications so far. Tata Motors got approval of 333 patents during the last financial year, which is the highest figure in a year. Now the total number of its approved patents has increased to more than 850. It is important to mention here that the patent includes parts related to powertrain, suspension, brakes and emission control of different vehicle systems.
