IIT Madras launched Executive MBA 2025 with weekend classes and global immersion.
The Department of Management (DOMS) of IIT Madras has opened applications for its executive MBA (EMBA) program, designed for mid-career professionals who want to play the role of leadership in modern businesses.
Two years, in-tradition programs have been structured for professionals working, with classes held on alternative weekends so that participants can continue their jobs while learning. The course focuses on giving students a comprehensive perspective on functional knowledge and management of complex businesses.
Practical teaching is emphasized through three field capstone projects, allowing students to implement classroom lessons for real -world business challenges.
The purpose of the program is to equip students with deep knowledge in industries, an integrated approach to business decisions and the skills necessary to lead and contribute to global businesses.
Eligibility and Selection
With at least three years of work experience, candidates of minimum 60% can apply in their bachelor’s degree. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the IIT Madras campus for a written qualification test and personal interview on 8th and 9 November 2025.
The test will cover business qualifications, logical logic, quantitative ability and oral ability. The results will be announced in December, and the program is scheduled to begin in January 2026.

It is designed with global trade, including an international immersion program. Last year, students have visited it in Paris.”
Dr. S. Srinivasan, Associate Professor and EMBA Coordinator, said, “Our program helps professionals immediately apply devices that they learn. We focus on interdisciplinary knowledge and a case-study-driven approach, which uses the real world examples from the IV League and Harvard Business School.

International immersion program
A recent addition to the course is a program of learning international immersion. Students spend 10 days in a reputed institute abroad, such as IESEG School of Management, global leadership and cultural intelligence in Paris. They combine class sessions with a tour of the region in Northern France and Belgium including Lily and Brussels.
