Delhi Airport: The ambitious scheme of the Government of India, Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveler Program, has been started from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. This facility was inaugurated today by Home Minister Amit Shah during a ceremony organized at IGI Airport. With the launch of this facility, IGI Airport has become the first airport in the country to have the facility of FTI i.e. Fast Track Immigration. After the introduction of FTI, passengers going abroad from IGI Airport will now get relief from the long queues at the immigration counters.
In fact, after the introduction of FTI i.e. fast track immigration facility at IGI Airport, passengers going abroad will no longer have to go to the counter of the Immigration Bureau. They will now be able to complete their immigration check process through FTI and proceed for pre-embarkation security check. Let us tell you here that at present this facility of FTI will be available only to Indian passport holders who have registered and Indian citizens living abroad.

How to register for FTI
To avail the facility of fast track immigration, it is mandatory to get registered. If you also want to avail this facility, then you can also get yourself registered by following the steps given below.
- For the facility of FTI, first you have to visit the government website www.ftittp.mha.gov.in.
- All the required information including name, date of birth, mobile number, passport number will have to be made available on the website.
- The information provided by you will be verified by the Bureau of Immigration.
- After verification, you will be informed for the next process of biometric through SMS or email.
- For the biometric process, you will have to go to the Farmers Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or the dedicated counters set up at the Delhi Airport.
Once the biometric process is completed, you will be authorized to avail the facility of Fast Track Immigration (FTI). After this, you will be able to complete the immigration process automatically without any hassle while going to and coming from abroad.

How will the FTI process be completed at the airport
If you have registered for FTI facility then you can complete your immigration check process by following the procedure given below.
- After reaching the airport, you will have to check in at the airlines counter as usual. The airlines will issue you a boarding pass after verifying your visa at the counter.
- After getting the boarding pass, you will have to go to the dedicated FTI-TTP e-gate. Here you will have to scan your passport and boarding pass. As soon as the passport and boarding pass are verified, the first e-gate in front will open.
- After exiting the first e-gate, you will have to reach the second e-gate. Your face will be scanned at this e-gate. The e-gate will open as soon as the face is verified. After this, you can proceed for your security check.
According to a DIAL spokesperson, just like on departure, Indian passport holders will be able to avail the benefits of Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme on arrival as well.
