Terminal 1 Traffic Plan: If you are going to travel by SpiceJet or Indigo Airlines in the coming days, then before leaving for Terminal 1 of Indira Gandhi International Airport, do check this route map. It may happen that you get so lost in the maze of routes that you miss your flight.
Therefore, before going to Terminal 1 of IGI Airport, you must read and understand this route man issued by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) thoroughly. In fact, after the roof of the concourse area of Terminal 1D collapsed, DIAL shifted the flight operations of SpiceJet and Indigo Airlines to Terminal 2 and 3.
As the newly built Terminal 1 is now ready for flight operations, SpiceJet and IndiGo are being brought back to Terminal 1. SpiceJet will operate its 13 flights from Terminal 1 from 17 August, while IndiGo will shift its 34 flights to Terminal 1 from 2 September.

Why did a maze-like situation arise?
Since Terminal 1-D is part of Integrated Terminal 1, the traffic ramp starts from Terminal 1-D, passes in front of the newly built terminal and descends in front of the G-5 building. The first four gates of Terminal 1 are closed due to the collapse of the roof in the past few days and repair work is still going on, so the first half of the ramp cannot be used.
Currently, only the last half of the ramp is available for traffic, which is why IndiGo passenger traffic is being diverted to the first floor of the terminal. At the same time, SpiceJet passengers have entry from the ground floor, so they will have to reach Gate A of the terminal through a completely different route. Overall, a maze-like situation is being created at the airport at this time.

How SpiceJet passengers reach the entry gate of Terminal 1,
SpiceJet passengers have to proceed straight from the roundabout towards the ramp of Terminal One D. Just before the ramp starts, they have to turn right towards the parking and take a U-turn. As soon as you cross the parking area, you have to turn left and after going under the ramp, you will be able to reach Gate A of Terminal One. After this, this route will go outside the arrival terminal and towards Mehram Nagar outside the airport.

How did IndiGo passengers reach gate number 5-6 of Terminal 1?,
Indigo passengers have to turn right on the road next to the metro station gate. You have to go under the ramp towards Palam Police Station. After crossing the Palam Police Station on the right, you have to take a U-turn from the right. After which, you will be able to reach Terminal One gate number 5 and 6 by climbing the ramp visible in front of you. Further, you will be able to exit the airport on the left side from this ramp.
