Air conditioners are used from hot summers to the entire rainy season. The air from AC becomes even more comfortable during the rainy season. One important reason for this is that during monsoons, the amount of moisture in the air increases a lot, due to which coolers and fans feel sticky. But if you talk about AC air, it absorbs moisture and throws dry air, due to which the feeling of cooling is very good.
But during rainy days we often see that water is splashing out of the AC unit. Many of us do not pay attention to this thing, but you should know the reasons why this happens.

Drain pipe- Below the evaporator coil is a drain pan that collects the wastewater before draining it out of your home. But if this pan is cracked or rusted, it can cause water to leak inside your home instead of going down the drain line. That’s why it’s important to get it serviced on time.
If your outdoor unit is installed on the rooftop or the connecting pipe does not have a U trap installed, rainwater may enter the room through the hole that connects the AC to the unit.

Drain pipe blockage- The moisture that the AC absorbs is thrown out through the drain pipe in the form of water. During the hot season, less water comes out of the AC drain pipe because the air is dry during the hot season, due to which moisture does not accumulate so much. On the other hand, during the rainy season, more water falls out of the AC drain pipe because there is a lot of moisture in the air. Therefore, you have to see that there is no garbage stuck in the drain pipe which is blocking the water from coming out.
air filter- You will be surprised to know that almost every air conditioner problem starts with a dirty air filter. Over time, dust and debris accumulate on your AC filter, which can reduce air circulation. This causes the evaporator coil to become very cold and then melt, causing water to leak.
There might be damage
Water dripping from air vents can damage walls, floors and furniture and can also cause slippery floors if not attended to timely.
