Through the competition, tourist places will be promoted not only at the state but also at the national level. This will give a new direction to local tourism.

Government Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh has issued necessary instructions to organize the Mera Block Mera Gaurav competition. It has been said in the instructions that Mera Block Mera Gaurav competition will be organized by the Tourism Department at the block level. Under this campaign, local people of rural areas can participate and give information about the hidden tourist places of their respective areas.
This competition will be organized through online medium. A separate web page is being created by the department for the participants to upload videos, photographs and short records.
