The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has recently made amendments in the CS Executive Entrance Exam. (CSEET) Along with the registration fee, the CS course fee has also been increased for the academic year 2024-25. As per the latest update, the CSEET 2024 registration fee has been increased to Rs 2,000, while the fees for CS Executive and Professional programmes have almost doubled. However, the reservation policy remains the same across all categories.
CSEET 2024: Registration Fee Details
Candidates will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 2,000 as per the revised fee structure to appear for the CSEET, which is used to assess eligibility for the Company Secretary programme. Till last year, the application fee was Rs 1,000. However, the upfront fee for optional CSEET classes will remain the same at Rs 1,000.
The institute has also increased the CS Executive, Foundation and Professional education fees; however, the enrolment fee will remain the same at Rs 2,000.
ICSI CS Courses Revised Fee Structure for Academic Year 2024-25
The updated/revised fee structure for ICSI CS courses in the academic year 2024-25 is as follows:
CS Executive, CS Foundation, and CS Professional
– Registration fee: Rs 2,000
– Exam Fee: Rs 12,900
– CSEET exemption fee: Rs 5,000 (for direct admission)
– Pre-exam test fee: Rs 1,000
– One day orientation programme: Rs 600
– Chartered Secretary Journal subscription (optional) for one year: Rs 500
Total: Rs 17,000 and Rs 22,000 (Direct Admission)
The revised course-specific testing fees for CS courses are as follows:
– Executive Programme: Rs 1,500 per group
– Vocational programme: Rs 1,800 per group
– Late fee for submission of examination form: Rs 250
– Change of exam centre, module or medium: Rs 250 per change
– Surcharge for taking exam from overseas centre (Dubai) (over and above the normal exam fee): USD 100 (approx. Rs 8,000).
Earlier this week, ICSI released the schedule for the December 2024 session of CS Executive and Professional courses. As per the official datesheet, the CS exams will begin on December 21, 2024, and end on December 30, 2024.
