IBPS Clerk (CRP-CSA-XV) preliminary exam was held in October. The recruitment drive aims to fill 13,533 Customer Service Associate (Clerk) posts in the participating banks.
How does IBPS calculate preliminary exam marks?
IBPS has given the complete scoring methodology details in its notice:
The number of correct answers in each test is used to arrive at a correct score after adding a penalty for incorrect answers.
These revised scores are equalized to accommodate differences in difficulty levels in different innings.
The last digits are rounded to two decimal places.
Cut-offs are applicable at two levels:
Sectional Score (English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability)
Total Score (wherever applicable)
Total Score of Preliminary Exam = English Language + Numerical Ability + Reasoning Ability
Candidates who qualify on the basis of final score and cut-off are shortlisted for the main examination.
Important instructions for candidates appearing in the main examination
The online main examination is expected to be held on November 29, 2025. IBPS has issued major guidelines:
Bring duly attested Prelims Call Letter, Mains Exam Call Letter and all required documents.
Ration Card and Learner Driving License will not be accepted as valid ID proof.
Biometric verification (thumb impression and photograph) will be conducted at the examination centre. Any mismatch or refusal may lead to cancellation of candidature.
For successful biometric capture, candidates must ensure that the fingers are clean, dry and free from ink or henna.
