Hyderabad. There are many historical buildings in this city, but the Seven Qutb Shahi Tombs are one of the most popular tourist destinations. 3. Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah (1550-1580)
This tomb belongs to the fourth Sultan, who is also known as Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah Wali. His tomb, built in 1580, is slightly larger than the tomb of Sultan Quli. Traces of beautiful enamel tiles can still be seen on its southern wall.
4. Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah (1580-1612)
This tomb belongs to the fifth Sultan, who was also the founder of the city of Hyderabad, his tomb is considered to be the most grand and luxurious in the entire complex. This mausoleum, built in 1602, is situated on a platform of 65 square meters, to reach which one has to climb stairs.
5. Tomb of Hayat Bakshi Begum
Hayat Bakshi Begum was a prominent member of the royal family. She was the daughter of Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, wife of Sultan Muhammad Qutb Shah and mother of Sultan Abdullah Qutb Shah. She was fondly called “Maa Saheba”.
6. Unfinished tomb of Mir Ahmed
This is an incomplete tomb, which is also called the tomb of Nizamuddin Ahmed. Its most special identity is that there is no dome on it, interestingly, the last Sultan of this dynasty, Abul Hasan Qutb Shah (dictator) was not buried here, but he was buried in Khuldabad.
7. Tomb of Fatima Sultana
The mausoleum is easily recognizable by its bulbous dome, located near the entrance of the complex. Fatima Sultana was the sister of Sultan Muhammad Qutub Shah. There are many tombs in this tomb, two of which have inscriptions. Three unnamed tombs south of the tomb of Muhammad Quli are believed to be those of the granddaughters of Muhammad Qutb Shah. This mausoleum is on the Fort Road of Tolichowki, Hyderabad. It is open seven days a week. The ticket fee here is Rs 10 for adults and Rs 5 for children. If you carry a camera, you will have to pay a camera fee of Rs 50.
