What is ANM course?
Auxiliary Nursing Midwife (ANM) is a 2 year diploma course which includes 6 months internship (mandatory). The annual fees for ANM course ranges between Rs 10,000 to Rs 60,000.
Eligibility Criteria for ANM Course
To enroll in ANM course, the student must be 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the application year. As per ANM eligibility criteria the maximum age for the course is set at 35 years. Furthermore, the educational qualification required to enroll in this course is that students must have passed Class 12 board in Arts with English subject. Students who have passed class 12th in Arts and Science where the examination was conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling can also enroll here.
What is GNM course?
General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is another diploma course which is of 3.5 years. The course also includes an internship period of 6 months. The fees for this course can range between Rs 20,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh.
Eligibility Criteria for GNM Course
To get admission in GNM course, students must have passed 12th class with Arts in English or any qualifying examination from a recognized board as per GNM eligibility criteria. It is also necessary to obtain at least 40 percent marks in English for this diploma course. Eligible candidates who have obtained 40% marks in Vocational Stream-Health Care Science from CBSE Board/recognized can also enroll in this Nursing course.
