The Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is recalling CRF1100L Africa Twin manufactured from 2019 to 2025 due to potential handler wiring issues.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced voluntarily remember its major adventure, CRF1100L Africa Twin as part of a global market action. Recall applies to units manufactured between 2019 and 2025.
According to the company, the issue stems from the constant steering movement of the handle, which causes the harness of the left handle switch to undergo frequent bending. Over time, this may be the result of oxidation on the combined terminal of the harness wire, possibly leading to conduction issues. The results may include the horn difficulty in switching the headlight to the high beam from the work or low beam.

As a precautionary measure, the HMSI will turn the affected parts for free, regardless of the state of the motorcycle warranty. The replacement exercise will start from the fourth week of January 2026 at the Bigving Topline dealership across India.
According to its customer-first approach, Honda said that the initiative underlines its commitment to enhance safety, trust and ownership experience. Bigving topline dealers will contact customers immediately through calls, emails or SMS for vehicle inspection.
Customers can also verify whether their motorcycle is part of the recall campaign by entering his unique vehicle identity number (VIN) on Honda’s official website (Honda2Wheelersindia.com). To reduce discomfort, HMSI has urged owners to book service appointments in advance.
