Honda Amaze recently earned a 5-star rating in adult occupant protection and 4 stars in child occupant protection from India NCAP.
The 2025 Honda Amaze underwent crash tests by BNCAP (India New Car Assessment Programme), where it scored 5 stars in adult occupant protection and 4 stars in child occupant protection. India NCAP tested the V CVT, VX CVT and ZX MT variants of the Amaze, but the rating is applicable to all variants on sale in the market. Here’s a quick list of all the safety features that come with the third generation Honda Amaze.
What are the standard safety features of Honda Amaze?
With the third generation, Honda added several safety features as standard. it comes with
- 6 airbags
- Energy Absorbing Front Pretensioner Seatbelt with Load Limiter
- 3 point emergency locking retractor seatbelt
- Head restraints on front and rear seats for all occupants
- ISOFIX mounts for child seats
- rear parking sensor
- anti lock brake system
- electronic brake distribution
- Brake Assist with Brake Override System
- Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with electronic stability control.

What safety features does the VX variant add over the V variant?
If customers step up to the mid-trim level, which is the VX, Honda adds a LaneWatch camera that shows a live feed from a camera mounted near the left rearview mirror and a rear camera, which comes in handy when parking. Then it also has automatic headlamps, so that the driver does not need to turn the headlights on or off. Some other features that have been added are rear windshield demister, automatic wipers and a security alarm.

What safety features have been added to the top-end ZX variant?
Apart from the features of the VX and V variants, the ZX variant comes with Honda Sensing, an ADAS suite. It includes a collision mitigation braking system that emits audible alerts and shows visual signals when it detects other vehicles or pedestrians.
Then there is Adaptive Cruise Control which automatically accelerates and decelerates the vehicle to a predetermined vehicle speed when traveling long distances, for example, on an expressway. The Amaze is also equipped with auto high beams, so it can automatically shift between high and low beams, depending on whether there is traffic in front or not.

Honda also offers a Lane Keeping Assist system that uses a camera to detect lane markings and assist steering to keep the vehicle centered. It also has a Lead Car Departure Notification system, which alerts the driver if the car in front is moving or changing lanes. The vehicle is equipped with a road departure mitigation system that notifies the driver when it detects that the vehicle is close to the outer edge of the curb, there is an oncoming vehicle, or is moving into another lane without the use of a turn signal.
