After NASA’s astronauts, Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore eventually took to the International Space Station (ISS) after returning to Earth for a long time, took the citizen of the Gujarat government to X on the X and shared some interesting facts about Sunita Williams.
Born on 19 September 1965 in US Ohio, Sunita’s father Deepak Pandya moved to USA in 1957, where he met and married Ursuline Boney.
Taking the X, Mygoovagujrat wrote, “Sunita Williams in India jaits for the village of Jhulasan in #Gujarat, as it was once her father and grandparents’ house. A small village has a population of about 7000 people who proud the fact that astronauts have a connection with their village.”
The body said, “Sunita Williams was born on 19 September 1965, in Ohio’s Euclid, we were in Deepak Pandya and Boney Pandya. His father, Deepak Pandya, was a neurocientist from Gujarat, India, who went to the USA in 1957, where he met and married Ursuline Bony.”
Sunita Williams’ ancestral village in Gujarat’s Mehsana district is preparing for a grand ceremony on Wednesday morning as she returns to Earth after nine months of stay in ISS.
Williams’ father of Williams, Deepak Pandya’s original village Jhulasan, is praying for his safe return. Special prayers and an unbroken geot (eternal flame) are burnt in the local temple of Goddess Dola Mata, which symbolizes the wishes of the community for her good.
Sunita Williams Homecoming Update:
Williams and Buch Wilmore were on a Boeing Starlineer spacecraft to test their first crew trip in June 2024 and went on a space campaign for more than a week.
However, his Boeing Starlineer faced issues of propulsion and the pair’s astronauts were disqualified by the space administration to blow back to Earth. Since then, Williams have been on ISS, waiting for the replacement shuttle to get back to Earth.
Now, astronauts finally left the ISS on a SpaceX crew dragon on 18 March, 2025. He is ready to exit the Florida coast on ET at 5:57 pm on Tuesday, which is IST at 3:27 pm on Wednesday. The recovery teams will help astronauts before going to Houston. The video coverage starts from ET at 4:45 pm on Wednesday, or IST at 2:15 pm.
