Among the six seasons, after autumn comes spring, in which the festival of Holi is celebrated. The phlegm that accumulates inside the body during the winter season starts melting in the spring due to the increase in the sun’s heat. Due to this, Kapha dosha in the body gets aggravated and diseases caused by phlegm occur. According to this, sages and saints have made rules in Ayurveda. In spring, sunlight takes away the body’s strength and due to this the body becomes lazy.
Holi rituals to keep the body fit
Doctor Nagendra Narayan Sharma says that earlier diseases like cholera and smallpox used to spread during this season. Keeping this in view, the sages have made various types of rules to light fire during the festival of Holi, have fun and give good energy to the body by making the whole environment happy.
Destruction of germs by Holika Dahan
Ayurveda expert Dr. Nagendra Narayan Sharma said that infectious diseases spread more in this season. In Holika Dahan, cow dung cakes, camphor, coconut, wood and other liquids are burnt so that the smoke of the burning fire eliminates the germs spread in the environment of the area and brings purity.
