Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xtreme 160R Combat Edition, which includes projector headlamps, three riding modes and ride-by-wire technology.
Hero MotoCorp has released the teaser of Xtreme 160R Combat Edition on its social media page. Interestingly, the model can also be seen on the manufacturer’s website. This will not be the first Combat Edition that the brand will launch. Hero already sells Combat Edition of Xoom 110 and Karizma XMR 210. Here are all the changes that will be available in the Xtreme 160R Combat Edition.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition: Cosmetic changes
Firstly, being a special edition, it now comes with a gray and yellow color scheme which helps in enhancing the road presence and style of the motorcycle. More importantly, gone is the LED headlamp which was reflector-based. Instead, it is now a projector unit that is shared with the Xtreme 250R, which gets ‘H’ shaped LED daytime running lamps.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition: Feature Edition
Following the addition of a few features, the Combat Edition will come with three riding modes that can be changed using the ‘Mode’ button on the left switchgear. The brand also features a color LCD instrument cluster, again borrowed from the Xtreme 250R. The biggest addition to the motorcycle is the ride-by-wire system, which means throttle inputs are implemented by sensors instead of cables. Ride-by-wire also enables cruise control, which can come in handy when riding on highways. We first saw this feature in the Glamor X 125.

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition: Acceleration Time
According to Hero MotoCorp, the Hero Xtreme 160R Combat Edition can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 4.5 seconds, making it the fastest 160 cc motorcycle in India.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition: Price
As of now, the Xtreme 160R 4V is available in only one variant, which is priced at 1,29,615 ex-showroom. At present, the price of the Combat Edition is not known. But this will be the new top-end variant, which means its price will be higher than the existing variant. We can expect its price to be between 1.35 lakh more 1.40 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
