Taha Shah is getting a lot of praise for his work on Hiramandi. The actor is currently at the Cannes Film Festival and shared new photos from his time in the French Riviera. What did Taha say?
In the interview, when Taha was asked what popularity felt like, he said, “There were some incredible people I just met from Malaysia! They literally went ballistic! Right before this interview, there was a group of girls who went crazy. They were yelling, they weren’t saying anything! Suddenly I looked in this direction and he said, ‘Tajdar! Crowned! Crowned!’ After this he went mad and started crying. I’ve never seen that reaction before. They came to me and the amount of photos and videos they took varied but they called their moms and their moms were fans! His father was a fan! I was overjoyed and completely taken aback.”
about the constitution
Taha plays the character of Tajdar Baloch in the series. The show, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also features Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman in crucial characters.
An excerpt from the Hindustan Times review of the show reads, “Sharmin Segal and Taha Shah Badusha provide the much-needed youthful energy of two optimistic lovers in depressing times. Sharmin, who is also Bhansali’s niece, gets the princess-like treatment here, but her voice and dialogue delivery are very reminiscent of Sara Ali Khan. Needless to say she’s bad, but she still has a long way to go. That’s not the case with Taha, who is reliably vulnerable and firm when needed. He is a rare find and has great potential.”
