IGI Airport News: A young man, lost in the hangover of Bangkok, did such a thing before reaching the airport that sticky cheese marks accidentally got stuck in his passport. This young man had no idea how much trouble these dirty marks on his passport would create for him. As soon as the Bureau of Immigration officer at the airport saw marks of sticky substance on the passport of this young man, he issued an order to take this young man into custody and hand him over to the airport police.
According to the senior officer associated with the security of IGI Airport, in the complaint given against this young man, the immigration officer also mentioned the evil intentions of this young man. Based on the complaint of the Immigration Officer, IGI Airport Police registered a case against this young man under Section 318(4)/336(3)/340(2) of the Indian Judicial Code and Section 12 of the Passport Act and arrested him. During interrogation, this 23-year-old youth was identified as Kanwaljeet Singh, resident of Amritsar city of Punjab.
What is the real reason behind the sticky thing in the passport?
According to DCP Usha Ranganani of IGI Airport, this matter is of 21st November. Kanwaljeet Singh, resident of Amritsar city of Punjab, had reached Terminal 3 of IGI Airport with the intention of going to Bangkok. He was to leave for Bangkok on Spice Jet flight SG-087. During scrutiny of the travel document, the Bureau of Immigration officer found that page number 11 of the passport had glue marks. When asked about the glue mark, Kanwaljeet’s face paled and he could not give a single satisfactory answer.
The sticky marks were proof of Kanwaljeet’s bad intentions.
He said that after looking at the sticky marks present on the passport, it was clear that a visa sticker on page number 11 of the passport had been removed with malicious intent. There was a suspicion that a fake sticker of some country was placed on this page of the passport. During the trip, the visa sticker was removed from the passport due to the fear that the fake visa might be noticed by the Bureau of Immigration. A team was formed under the leadership of SHO Sushil Goyal to completely investigate the matter. Constable Pradeep was also included in this team along with female sub-inspector Pratima. During interrogation, Kanwaljeet has revealed many shocking facts.
