Bombay High Court (BHC) has announced the recruitment of 13 Stenographer (Grade-3) posts for graduate candidates. The application process started on October 27, 2025 and interested candidates can submit their online applications through the official website bombayhighcourt.nic.in till November 10, 2025.
Selected stenographers will get a monthly salary ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 along with Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other government allowances.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for Bombay High Court Recruitment, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with preference given to law graduates. Additionally, applicants must have a valid certificate demonstrating a minimum speed of 80 words per minute in English shorthand. The age requirement sets minimum 21 years and maximum 43 years, age relaxation is provided for reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/EWS as per government rules.
How much will the application fee cost?
All candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000, which can be paid online only through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI. Applications submitted without fee will be rejected.
How will the selection be done?
The selection process involves three stages, culminating in a merit list out of 100 marks. The first stage is a shorthand test consisting of two English passages of a total of 500 words for 40 marks, with 5 minutes for dictation and 30 minutes for transcription. The second stage is a typing test, in which candidates have to type an English paragraph of 400 words in 10 minutes for 40 marks. The third and final stage is oral interview or personal interview of 20 marks.
Candidates who qualify all the stages will be included in the final merit list. The dates of examination and interview will be announced later through official notification.

To apply, candidates should visit bombayhighcourt.nic.in and go to the Recruitment section selecting Stenographer (Grade-3) Apply Online link. After registration with mobile number, email ID and basic details, applicants have to log in with the provided ID and password. The application form requires uploading of passport size photograph, signature and required documents along with personal, educational and shorthand certificate details. After making the online payment of Rs 1,000 fee, candidates should submit the form and print a copy for safe keeping.
When can you apply?
Applications will be accepted from October 27, 2025 to November 10, 2025. Information regarding admit card and exam dates will be updated on the website.

Candidates should practice maintaining shorthand speed above 80 words per minute and focus on typing accuracy to avoid losing marks.
