New Delhi. Recently, the giant tech company Google took a big step and delisted 10 apps from the Play Store. After this the government had expressed displeasure over this decision. Now Google has withdrawn the decision to remove many apps including Shaadi.com, Info Edge’s Naukri.com, 99Acres and Naukri Gulf.
Info Edge co-founder Sanjeev Bikchandani also confirmed this in a post on X. He posted, “Many Info Edge apps are back on the Play Store. A very good effort was made under the leadership of Hitesh (Hitesh Oberoi) and the entire Info Edge team. “People stayed awake the whole night for this.”

IAMAI had expressed objection
Earlier in the day, Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) had criticized the removal of apps of Indian companies and asked Google to restore those removed apps on its Play Store.

More than a dozen apps were removed from Play Store
According to news agency IANS, Google had removed more than a dozen apps of major Indian digital companies including Matrimony and Shaadi.com from the Play Store. The move comes after Google announced plans to take action against 10 developers who refused to follow the payment policies of other app stores. Applications from companies like ALTT, Stage and Aha streaming platforms, Truly Madly and Quack Quack dating apps, KuCoo FM audio content platform and FRND social networking app were also removed by Google.
