New Delhi. The demand for compact SUVs in the Indian market has increased rapidly in recent years. According to a report, about 50 percent of the total cars sold in the country are of SUV category. This is the reason why now companies are paying more attention to launching SUV vehicles. India is emerging as a big market for affordable compact SUV cars. Now there is a huge demand in the market for compact SUV vehicles coming in the budget of Rs 8-12 lakh. Meanwhile, keeping in mind the budget of the middle class of the country, companies have also started launching SUVs priced below Rs 8 lakh.
Tata Nexon is the best selling car in the country in the budget of Rs 8-9 lakh. This compact SUV is quite popular due to its excellent design, interior features and 5-star safety and for these reasons this SUV is the best seller in its segment. However, now to compete with Nexon in this segment, Mahindra has launched a car with more features at a lower price than Nexon. Experts say that this Mahindra car is equipped with many such features which make the Nexon (Tata Nexon) look a bit outdated when compared.

Mahindra’s cheapest car launched
The car we are talking about here is Mahindra’s newly launched SUV XUV 3X0. The company has launched it in the market to compete with Tata Nexon. Mahindra XUV 3X0 has been launched by the company at a starting ex-showroom price of only Rs 7.5 lakh, while the price of its top model goes up to Rs 13.99 lakh. Mahindra
Nexon will face tough competition
Talking about Mahindra XUV 3X0, it is not only cheaper than Nexon in price but it also has more features than Nexon. Tata Nexon price starts at Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Features like LED headlight, LED tail light, LED DRL have been provided in XUV 3X0 with latest design. At the same time, completely new design alloy wheels are also available in it.

Talking about the interior, its dashboard has a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument panel with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Apart from this, premium features like new steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, ambient lighting, 360-degree surround camera, leatherette seats and redesigned center console are also available in the interior.
One step ahead of Nexon in safety
In terms of safety also, Mahindra XUV 3X0 seems ahead of Nexon. Even in the latest facelift model of Tata Nexon launched this year, the company has not provided ADAS feature, but in Mahindra XUV 3X0, the company has given Level-2 ADAS, due to which this car is better than Nexon from safety point of view. Let us tell you that ADAS includes many types of safety features in which some major features like Lane Keep Assist, Pedestrian Safety Assist, Front Collision Alert, Rear Collision Alert and Autonomous Braking are also available.
There are many engine options
The XUV 3XO is equipped with three powertrain options which include 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, 1.2-litre GDi turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter unit is available for transmission.
